Hey, I’m Sam - the face behind LEAD! With me on this journey I have my wonderful wife Aimee, and our furry pals Reggie and Harvey (Pictured).

At LEAD we are passionate about the environment and sustainability. As rock climbers, we began to notice that rock climbing rope didn’t have much of a purpose beyond climbing, and would often be thrown to landfill. As climbing ropes are made primarily of plastic polymers, they take a long time to break down, causing a number of negative impacts for our environment. This sparked the idea to Up-Cycle these ropes instead and create adventure style dog leads to extend their life and reduce waste.

Each LEAD comes with a unique story and climbing history, as well as perfect imperfections to represent it’s life.
